SEC refunding tickets for tournament move

FAYETTEVILLE — Fans holding tickets to the 2008 SEC Basketball Tournament for sessions 4, 5 and 6 purchased through an authorized agent are eligible to receive refunds, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Those sessions were moved to Georgia Tech’s Alexander Memorial Coliseum after the Georgia Dome was damaged by a tornado.

Fans unable to gain access to Alexander Memorial Coliseum should mail Session 4, 5 and 6 tickets to the original place of purchase — either the SEC Ticket Office, Georgia Dome or one of the 12 SEC member institutions — postmarked by April 18.

Session 4 tickets also could be torn because the first game of that session was played in the Georgia Dome.

The original ticket holder is the only person who may receive a refund. Anyone who purchased tickets in the secondary market will not qualify for refunds through any of the authorized outlets.

The maximum refund amount is $ 125 — $ 45 each for Sessions 4 and 5 and $ 35 for Session 6.
