UA track team is ranked ninth

FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Lady Razorbacks track and field team is ranked No. 9 in the outdoor preseason rankings released Wednesday by the U. S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

LSU sits atop the rankings, with Arizona State second and Virginia Tech third. Arkansas (No. 9 ) is one of six SEC schools ranked in the Top 25. Tennessee is No. 13, South Carolina 14 th, Florida 15 th and Auburn 20 th.

The Lady Razorbacks are led by three-time All-American and middle distance specialist Dacia Barr, multi-event competitor Etienne Chaplin and a slew of sprinter and pole vaulters.
