His three home runs in a game were the most for an Arkansas player since 1999, when Rodney Nye did it against South Carolina. Smalling also added another home run in the second game. WHO’S NOT The defensive play at third base in the series was not good in Oxford, Miss. Logan Forsythe had three errors in three games for Arkansas, while Cody Overbeck had an error for Ole Miss. SHORT HOPS Arkansas tweaked its lineup for Saturday’s first game of a doubleheader by starting Andrew Darr in left field and Aaron Murphree at first base. Darr was rewarded for his hot hitting during nonconference games of late, while Murphree has been used mostly as a reserve during SEC play.... Tim Smalling became the first Arkansas player to hit home runs in consecutive plate appearances since Murphree did it against Sienna on March 7.... Ole Miss freshman Logan Williams, who hit home runs against Arkansas and Arkansas State in his previous two games, did not start in Saturday’s first game. The freshman from Bee Branch hit a three-run home run Friday in a 12-4 victory over the Razorbacks.
