Pulaski Academy receiver Neal Barlow changed his oral commitment from Kansas to Arkansas on Thursday.
Barlow, 6-6 1 / 2, 204 pounds, 4. 55 seconds in the 40-yard dash, committed to the Jayhawks on Aug. 12 but said he has decided Arkansas is a better fit.
“I figured out Arkansas would probably be the best place for me,” Barlow said “The coaching staff up there is great — not to say Kansas’ staff isn’t. They were great and they’re top-of-line, and I think they’re going to have a great program, but I thought with [Arkansas’ ] new offense and it being their first year and seeing all of the freshmen playing and talking to them, I felt like that’s where it’s going to be the best for me.”
Barlow had scholarship offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tulsa and LSU. He had 81 receptions for 1, 164 yards and 11 touchdowns last year.
Barlow becomes the Razorback’s 15 th oral commitment for the 2009 recruiting class. Oral commitments are nonbinding.
