GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Nick Calathes had 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, Erving Walker scored 16 points and Kenny Kadji added 14 as Florida beat Longwood 95-69 on Tuesday night for its ninth consecutive victory.

Florida (13-2) couldn't get started against the Lancers (7-9) and committed 12 turnovers in the first half, but took control with 7:37 to play before halftime when Allan Chaney slammed an offensive rebound for a 28-26 lead. The Gators' Walter Hodge followed that with a three-pointer 20 seconds later as Florida began to roll from there.

The Gators shot 64.3 percent from the field in the first half, while the Lancers connected on just 2 of 15 three-point attempts that led to a 44-34 Florida lead at halftime. The Gators wound up hitting 59.4 percent of their field goal attempts (38 of 64) in the game.

The Gators hit 31.3 percent on three-pointers (5 for 18) and 53.8 percent from the free-throw line (14 of 26).

Antwan Carter led the Lancers with 13 points. Billy Robinson Jr. had 12 and Dana Smith added 10.

NO. 12 CLEMSON 66,

ALABAMA 59

CLEMSON, S.C. - Trevor Booker scored 19 points as Clemson (15-0) beat Alabama (10-4).

Senario Hillman and Alonzo Gee each scored 12 points for Alabama.

The Tigers kept pace with their 17-0 start two years ago when they were the nation's last unbeaten. It took a stellar defensive effort down the stretch to hold off the Crimson Tide.

Alabama led 42-41 after Yamene Coleman's basket with 14:16 to go. Then Clemson made a 14-0 run to take control.

After Hillman hit a free throw to break Alabama's drought, freshman Andre Young made a three-pointer to give Clemson its largest lead, 58-43. The Crimson Tide managed only one basket between Coleman's shot and JaMychal Green's basket with 1:45 left, missing 10 consecutive shots.

UTAH 91, LSU 61

SALT LAKE CITY - Luke Nevill had 23 points and six rebounds as Utah (10-5) beat LSU (12-2) for its fourth consecutive victory. LSU had won four in a row. Marcus Thornton led LSU with 17 points. Carlon Brown scored 17 and Luka Drca and Shaun Green had 13 points each for the Utes. The Utes dominated the Tigers inside. Utah shot 67 percent in the first half and led by nine at halftime, then pulled away with a 24-5 run in the second half. Utah outrebounded LSU 37-29 and held the Tigers to seven field goals in the second half.

GEORGIA TECH 67, GEORGIA 62

ATLANTA - Zachery Peacock scored 18 points and Georgia Tech (9-5) rallied from a 13-point deficit to beat Georgia (9-6).

Trey Thompkins scored 20 points for Georgia.

Peacock drove to the basket to put Georgia Tech ahead for good, 62-60, with 1:23 left. Travis Leslie got open in the lane for Georgia, only to walk as he set up for a dunk.

One minute later, Georgia Tech's Gani Lawal slammed home the rebound off Peacock's missed jumper with 20.6 seconds to go. Lewis Clinch wrapped it up with two free throws.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Jeff Adrien scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half and Hasheem Thabeet had 13 points and 13 rebounds as Connecticut (13-1, 2-1 Big East) beat West Virginia (11-3, 1-1). Huskies Coach Jim Calhoun moved past Lefty Driesell into seventh place on the NCAA career victories list with 787. Da'Sean Butler and Alex Ruoff scored 13 each for West Virginia.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Kalin Lucas scored 20 points and Raymar Morgan had 13 points and 10 rebounds as Michigan State (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) beat Ohio State (10-3, 1-2) for its eighth consecutive victory overall and 26th in a row at home. William Buford scored 17 points and B.J. Mullens had 16 for the Buckeyes, who have lost 3 of 4 after starting 9-0.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Talor Battle scored 21 points and Stanley Pringle added 18 points as Penn State (13-3, 2-1 Big Ten) beat Purdue (11-4, 0-2). E'Twaun Moore led the Boilermakers with 21 points.

NEWARK, N.J. - Scottie Reynolds matched his career high with 40 points and Dante Cunningham had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Villanova (13-3, 1-1 Big East) made its last 18 free throws to beat Seton Hall (9-6, 0-3). Jeremy Hazell scored 26 points for Seton Hall, which has lost three consecutive.

CONWAY - One three-point record fell Tuesday night and another one was tied as the Central Arkansas Bears routed Haskell Indian Nations University at the Farris Center.

The Bears (7-6) made a school-record 15 three-pointers, shooting 55.6 percent from beyond the arc. The record was 13 set in 1995 and tied in 1999. Junior guard Marcus Pillow of Russellville made two three-pointers, which ties him for the UCA career individual record of 174.

Six players made threes for UCA, with junior guard Brooks Taylor hitting a careerhigh 6 of 8.

The Bears had their season high in threepointers by halftime, connecting on 12 of 18 in the first half to run out to a 66-33 lead. Taylor, from Monette, was 5 of 6 at halftime. UCA's previous season high was 10 against Vanderbilt. Pillow had two attempts to break the record in the second half but missed both.

UCA reached the 100-point mark on a dunk by freshman Chris Henson at the 3:20 mark, the first time the Bears have scored 100 points since Dec. 7, 2005, against Arkansas Baptist. The Bears had a season-high 32 assists, the fifth-best effort in school history, with Pillow leading the way with six. Twelve players scored for UCA, led by Taylor's 19 points. Henson had a careerhigh 13 points, while junior King Cannon had 11 points off the bench and junior Mitch Rueter and sophomore Chris Brown added 10 each. Senior center Brian Marks blocked four shots as the Bears finished with a seasonhigh nine blocks. Haskell, an NAIA school from Lawrence, Kan., was missing several top players Tuesday night. Dominick Tiger-Cortes led the Indians with 12 points, while Vince Chavez added 11.

CONWAY - Nick Heathscott scored a career-high 16 points, and Chris Goodman and Michael Bertrand added 13 each as Hendrix (9-4) beat the University of Dallas (3-11).

Hendrix led 24-15 at halftime.

MONTICELLO - Duke Sturdivant had 26 points and eight rebounds as No. 14 Arkansas-Monticello (11-2) posted a victory margin that nearly matched the point total for Ecclesia (11-7). Bernard Seymour and Raymond Wright each scored 16 and D'Angelo Dean 14 for Arkansas-Monticello.

ARKADELPHIA - Beulah Osueke scored 13 points, and Alyssa Pickett 12, leading Ouachita Baptist (10-2) over Rhema Bible College (0-12). OBU opened the game with a 17-4 spurt and went on a 26-2 run to close out the first half and take a 53-17 lead. Kayna Daniel's 12 points led Rhema Bible.

CONWAY - Anna Roane had 13 points, one of four players with 10 or more for Hendrix College (8-4) in a victory over University of Dallas (3-11). Samantha Clark, Amanda Morris and Chelsey White scored 10 points apiece for Hendrix, which led 34-24 at halftime.
