— UA Volleyball Team Falls In Five Sets

FAYETTEVILLE - In a tight matchup characterized by 49 ties, 16 lead changes and numerous extended rallies, Arkansas lost in five sets to Tennessee, 19-25, 25-18, 23-25, 26-24, 15-11, on Sunday afternoon in Barnhill Arena.

Jasmine Norton led the Razorbacks with 22 kills and 14 digs, while Amanda Anderson and Kristin Seaton added 13 and 10 kills, respectively. The match was the seventh five-setter of the season for Arkansas and its third during Southeastern Conference play.

Razorbacks, Ulrey Second At SEC Meet

OXFORD, Miss. - No. 28 Arkansas finished second in the team race behind No. 6 Alabama at the men’s Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Ole Miss.

The Razorbacks scored 61 points behind the Crimson Tide’s 56 points. No. 24 Auburn rounded out the top three with 86 points.

Led by Dorian Ulrey’s runnerup finish in the individual race, the Razorbacks finished with three runners in the top nine, five scorers in the top 23 and all nine finishers in the top 66.

Ulrey, in his SEC cross country debut, earned a runner-up finish with his 8,000-meter time of 24 minutes, 33.30 seconds.

Running his first 8K in an Arkansas uniform, he earned first-team All-SEC honors and was the top newcomer in the race.

Women Third In SEC OXFORD, Miss. - No. 29 Arkansas earned a bronze finish in the team race at the women’s Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Ole Miss.

Paced by junior Miranda Walker’s 10th-place finish, Arkansas finished with three in the top 16, five scorers in the top 26 and all seven finishers in the top 82.

Florida won the team title with 24 points, and Tennessee was second with 80 points.

Walker was Arkansas’ top finisher in 10th place. Her time of 21:41.07 earned her a spot on the second-team All-SEC. She has led the Razorbacks in all five meets this season.
