99-yarder just one step for Green

Sophomore tailback Broderick Green didn’t immediately jell in the crowded Arkansas backfield last spring and in fall camp after transferring from Southern California.

“Man, I struggled in the beginning,” Green said this week. “I picked up things during camp, but I had pneumonia and that was a slight setback.”

Green might have struggled early in his return to his native state, but the former Pulaski Academy star’s most recent exploits are all the buzz for an Arkansas team preparing to face South Carolina in a key SEC game Saturday.

Green already had a 3-yard touchdown run and 27 rushing yards against Eastern Michigan last Saturday when he and the Arkansas offense trotted onto the field with 4:29 ...

We're going to need "maximum effort" by the offense, defense and special teams the rest of the way. That, hopefully, will get us a decent bowl invitation with much momentum for next year. GO HOGS!!
