Since the SEC expanded, how many times has Battle for the Boot decided who represents the West in Atlanta? How many times has that been the case with the Iron Bowl?
I can't recall an instance where both teams in the Iron Bowl had a shot at the title and can think of at least 2 times Ark/LSU had the title riding on the outcome.
And, why, again did we get the golden boot from the Friday after Thanksgiving? Was it Silve or is Les Miles just tired of losing to a national television audience on a day when there are no other games on??

Golden boot stays with Arkansas for another year! Teams that beat Arkansas this year will see this game and breathe a big sigh of relief that they don't have to play the Hogs now. Arkansas wins out including Cotton Bowl. Go Hogs!

I was wondering the same thing about abandoning the tradition of playing on Friday this year. Wha' happened?

I am with you guys. I do not understand why the game was moved to Sat. The Hogs and LSU have played some pretty good games over the past few years. I can understand if we were getting overmatched every year, but the games have been very entertaining.

Folks:
The true date for the Ark vs LSU game is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. However, for the past 12 years, CBS has asked the game to be moved to the Friday. This year, they chose the Bama vs Auburn game to be moved instead of ours. If one looked at the records and hype before the season started, you can understand their choice.
