Pelphrey drawing on ‘Unforgettables’ blueprint

Tonight, Pelphrey will coach a short-handed Arkansas team against Pitino’s No. 20 Louisville Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Showcase at Scottrade Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30.

“It is ironic,” Pelphrey said. “And certainly from my side of it, having played through it and being told what to do with regards to those situations, I’ve never felt uncomfortable trying to do what I feel is right.”

Pelphrey was one of eight scholarship players left at Kentucky in the wake of NCAA sanctions when Pitino took over as coach for the 1989-1990 season.
