THE RECRUITING GUY: WR likes seeing UA ‘throw the rock around’

Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino’s offensive philosophy is to get the ball in the hands of the playmakers or “feed the studs,” as he has said. Receiver Marcus Lucas, who made an official visit to Arkansas over the weekend and is one of the premier receivers in the nation, is one prospect Petrino and his staff would like to see making plays for the Razorbacks next year.

Just one of the many positive things the Petrinos have brought to the Razorbacks is to attract high quality quarterbacks and recievers, and Marcus obviously recognizes the future benefits of being a part of that great system. What attracts me about Marcus as well his talent is his GPA and close relationship to his mom. I'm in Knoxville and seeing firsthand the legal and embarrassing mess going on with Lane Kiffen's recruits he is responsible for bringing into the Vol program. I'm sure some recruits will be attracted to the "bright shiny object" effect of his outspokenness. The quality ones will be attracted to the "actions speak louder than words" approach of Coach Petrino.
