Arkansas releases 2010 football schedule
Saturday, November 21, 2009
LITTLE ROCK Arkansas' football slate in 2010 has no more than two home games in consecutive weeks, but may be more favorable for the Razorbacks with big teams traveling to the Natural State.
Arkansas opens the season Sept. 4, 2010 against Tennessee Tech at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, and a bye week arrives after a home game against Alabama on Sept. 25. The Razorbacks also continue its Southwest Classic meeting with Texas A&M at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Oct. 9.
Seven games will be played inside the state of Arkansas. The Hogs host Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 11 and LSU on Nov. 27 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
The Hogs play home games on consecutive weeks twice in the season, starting with the first two weeks of the season. The Hogs have two consecutive games in Fayetteville on Oct. 23 and 30 against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, respectively.
Rotating on the SEC schedule for the Razorbacks is Vanderbilt, replacing Florida. Newcomers in the non-conference slate are Louisiana-Monroe and UTEP, which travels to Fayetteville on Nov. 13.
Also helping the Hogs is a bye week late in September. Arkansas had an open date after its season opener against Missouri State on Sept. 5 this season, which worried Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino and forced him to alter training and practices to better suit an 11-game stretch of games.

Thank goodness we don't have a bye week the second week of the season in 2010!
