Sunday, October 25, 2009
Control the line of scrimmage and you control the football game. That’s certainly what the Ole Miss Rebels did Saturday in their annual meeting with the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Petrino is a very good coach, but he was mistaken to comment in public on the Florida officiating. The team and staff did not need the distraction of a censure of their coach from the SEC this week. If Arkansas is to ever become the caliber of team that consistently wins, all involved in that program will need have a mindset that there will inevitably be bad calls - not to mention every team they play giving it their best shot - just like Ole Miss did. Maintaining focus in the midst of all the distractions and winning is what generates "respect" - the respect that some fans seek vicariously through this football team.

if the o-line dose not block and let;s one man run free on every play our qb is to slow a foot to be effective you cant coach speed but you can devise a game plan to block for your offencive game plan, the defence was to slow for their running game and reverted to poor tackling

As a 40yr. + hog fan, I was extremely disappointed in our performance Sat. against Ole Miss. I agree completely with scavengerhog's comment, too much energy was spent replaying the fl. game--it was clear we were not mentally ready--the second half was especially frustrating as I believe we all expected the team to come out re-focused and with aggressive play and with a plan to shut down OM offense, but nothing improved measurably. Go Hogs next 5 games!!
