Bobby Petrino had seen it before. So when he noticed the execution problems on the field he reached a conclusion - Arkansas didn't actually believe it could beat No. 3 Alabama on the road.

Either the defensive players we have are not very good or the schemes being ran by our "Let em' score at will" DC are too complicated. We have improved in the front seven, but the secondary is horrible and I blame that on Willy. He is the DC and secondary coach and it is evident he is not very good at either. I say it is time to "Free Willy" and look for a DC that can take us to the next level.

The team came out in the second half and walked down the field and scored after a good stop by our defense. Then "WHAMMO", the Tide scores on one play. How deflating can that be to an offense that had just had a great series? We can not win a championship with this DC in my opinion.

Poor tackling. Questionable schemes. A defense which requires an offense to score 40 points [or more] to win a game. - Free Willy.

I agree. And as we're 'Freeing Willy,' we need to do the same w/ a high-paid special teams coach named John Smith! The only thing special about our special teams is that the opposing teams think we're real special, TO THEM! We cannot win on this level w/ the kind of defensive and special teams efforts we've shown in the first three weeks of this season. Offense might have won games by itself at Louisville, but not in the SEC!

I agree whole hoggedly with everyone. "Free Willy" the DC can't seem to catch a cold let alone the Swine Flue. And John L Smith as Special Teams Coach? Glad he only has a one year contract. I lived in Michigan when he was the Coach at Michigan State and his special teams were horrible then too. Special Teams stinking was one of the many reasons he was let go at Michigan State. Both coaches are not worth the money being paid them and we need to let them go.

We have players that can play, but they're in bad schemes, malcolm sheppard should be used as a DE on some packages,he's doubled team all the time as a DT he's a great pass rusher, our safety should be a roaming headhunter but he's never around even when the ball seems to float in the air for days, also anywhere else a 5-star player plays.
