Joey McGuire wasn’t really scouting until he heard the boom on the kickoff. McGuire, the head football coach at Cedar Hills (Texas) High School, was watching a junior high game in 2005 and was sitting behind the end zone. On the far end of the field, the kickoff man launched a high, arcing kick deep downfield toward him.

I am so glad to hear we have someone ELSE in the kicking equation. I have felt sorry to Alex for the last two years. If we would have had someone to challenge him, maybe he would have been pushed to improve. At least the coaches could have benched him and saved us all from his incredible inconsistancy.
