Former Hog Alvin Robertson accused of sex trafficking

Former Arkansas star Alvin Robertson, a former NBA All-Star, has been arrested on sexual assault of a child and sex trafficking charges.

Robertson was taken into custody Friday in Bentonville, Ark., said Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy Ino Badillo. Robertson lives in San Antonio.

The former NBA All-Star faces charges alleging he was among seven people who kidnapped and assaulted a 14-year-old girl who was forced into prostitution and made to dance at a strip club, authorities said Friday.

Robertson was scheduled to attend a coaching clinic in Bentonville on Saturday.

Robertson, the seventh overall pick in the NBA Draft in 1984, was the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year in 1986 and led the league in steals in three seasons. He played three seasons from 1982-84 as a Razorback, averaging 12.4 points and 4.3 rebounds a game and was named an All-American in 1984.
