Pelphrey declined comment to WholeHogSports.com Saturday afternoon in Hot Springs. Pelphrey was in attendance at the Class 4A state basketball championship at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.

KNWA, a television station in Fayetteville, reported Clarke was strongly considering a transfer from Arkansas on Saturday. No decision has been made, according to a source. Clarke is scheduled to speak with Pelphrey next week as part of a normal individual meeting scheduled at the end of every season.

Clarke was second on the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points this season. Clarke entered the postseason ninth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (42.7 percent).

Pelphrey is expected to speak to the media as part of a season-ending press conference next week.

It'd be a lot easier to develop players if they stayed in the program.

hope this is just a rumor. glad to hear pelphrey was in hot springs, he needs to keep westside's nickleson, ty madden, and the other young man from little rock in the state and get them to arkansas.

WOW! I mentioned this on a post a couple of days ago. Total stabb in the dark on my part. I agree, if Clarke leaves I will change my mind on giving Pel another season. Clarke has done nothing but work his tail off and be a model student athlete since stepping foot on campus. He is exactly the kind of student athlete we need on and off the court. It is rediculous on how the other members of the team do not work to get Clarke the ball. He shoudl be shooting at least 50% of all of our 3's. I sure hope he stays, but I can't blame him if he leaves. The kid is a winner.

gotta agree with cajunhog. I have been willing to give Coach Pelphrey a fighting chance, but am beginning to wonder if all the turmoil the program has been through is do to a lack of quality leadership. For Clarke to consider leaving raises a lot of red flags for me. There is not a player on the team that hustles more or is more willing to put his team first before his own chances at glory.. unlike some others
