— Arkansas defensive tackle DeQuinta Jones was arrested by Fayetteville police and booked in the Washington County Detention Center at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance.

Jones, 19, was released on $660 bond at 10:12 a.m., according to the police report, and a hearing is set for 1:30 this afternoon.

"I'm very disappointed," Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino said Wednesday on the SEC Coaches Teleconference. "It's something we certainly don't want to see happen, particularly in the week of the game. I've not had a chance to visit with him or a chance to gather any more information, but it will certainly be addressed."

According to the police report, Jones was pulled over at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Leverett Street and Holly Street because the white GMC Suburban he was driving had no license plate lights. When the officer approached the car he detected an "overwhelming odor of marijuana."

A patdown revealed Jones had a plastic bag with 8.7 grams of marijuana in his pocket and he was placed under arrest, according to the report.

Jones, a sophomore, has started all seven games for the Razorbacks this season, recording 22 tackles and a forced fumble.
