One of the reasons that the defense will have a hard time statistically is that they are on the field so much. A fast-scoring offense doesn't leave the defense a lot of time to rest. Three yards and a cloud of dust, plays keep away with the ball and the other team has no offensive statistics. It's tough to have great statistics on both sides of the ball, even if the defense is much better.

So true francehog.
One thing the Hogs can do this year maybe better than last year is salt away a victory after getting out to a lead. With our great backs, maybe 3rd and 4th quarter drives can move more on the ground and keep the defense (and the other guys' offence) off the field longer! But if our defense is going to be on the field as much as last year, they aren't going to be top 25 statistically even if they are much better.

Agreed, however, I'm confident our coaching staff has a plan to do both of what you guys are suggesting.

I must respectfully disagree with you guys...history is full of examples where teams blew the other team away offensively and also killed the opponent with defense. I seem to recall a few beatings by USC that reflected that. Look back at the great Miami, Nebraska and (choke, choke) Oklahoma teams too.
Defense NEEDS a mentality of "we can get off the field in three plays" regardless of the score. Nastiness and good are required. The rest is excuses.

$40 to watch the Tennessee Tech game! Instead of the Razorbacks it should be "RichPeoplesBacks". I guess if it was $4 and I had Cox Digital, which I don't, I would think about it. Is it really worth it to exclude (and likely alienate) such a large portion of the fans in the state. Wally Hall could you consider publishing how much money the program actually makes from this game in Pay Per View?

Well, $40 is high, but my cost is $29.95, according to DirecTV. True that's not cheap, but it is a great bargain for us who live several hundred miles away from The Hill. It is still cheaper than purchasing a ticket and yes it benefits the Razorback programs. Sounds to me like you're not real interested in watching the Hogs anyway.

Wally, there you go, again.
You see we (Razorback Fans) hope and expect our guys to do well and win. We can understand if they don't quite make it.
We don't need to hear "Like it is" and then how it's going to be so tough on us because then you are talking in the negative.
Don't you understand? - you are taking the easy way out for YOU - you don't have to come up with reasons and you don't have to take sides (That way you can always be right) - I don't think that that makes you a good reporter of all things Razorback.
They may lose, but they are not out there trying to make YOU look right - right?.
THAT's LIKE IT IS!!!
