Good Hogs, great season, nothing to scoff at
Sunday, December 4, 2011
Back in the sweltering days of August, when the hopes and expectations for this football season were as hot and high as the temperatures, a guess was made that the Arkansas Razorbacks would be 9-3.

I really like where the program is at right now. We just need to win the bowl game and it will be remembered as a great season.

How will our recruiting be, now that McGee is out of the picture. Will this have any bearing on existing commitments?

Historically, the HOgs have not been a good bowl team. CPB is .500 in bowl games. I'm hoping he gets over teh hump this year.

Yes, we need to start turning around the bowl situation; there are lots of recruits that watch and our fans deserve better. CBP is the guy to do that! You're right Wally, and I don't think that very often, it was a good season and I am pleased with it overall.

We're in a good spot. We just need to keep moving forward. I love the fight we got out of our team this year. Let's keep building. Great job guys!

It has been a great seasons for real. Like it is all the time some of the time; Wally is right!!!
I believe we should be ranked #3, #4 or #5. As such, whomever we get in our bowl game; all we have to do is win and we finish the season top 5 and start in top 5 next year. I don't care who or where, bring it on...
CBP will have his hands full making adjustments for offense and defense. The SEC East will only get stronger.

I'm late to the party, but I want to chime in...if we lost to the No. 1 and 2 teams in the country according to the regular season final poll and lost at their place, how can the Hawgs not be higher ranked than Oregon? Both LSU and Bama were No. 1 when we played them...can any other team that has lost two games or even one game say that they play two No. 1 teams this season? No one but the Hawgs...we lost to the eventual NC (which will be six in a row for the SEC and seven will be next year when Knile Davis, Tyler Wilson and the Hawgs win it all)? These polls are crazy...but in saying that, that means the Hawgs have to prove they are a top 5 team and have to beat Kansas State...KSU is a very good team...but a team the Hawgs should beat...I'm really glad they are going to the Cotton Bowl...get as many fans there as possible...I hope to be there...HA, Jordan, UA87, all the rest, if you can make it, drinks on me...also, has Beckham made his decision on a school yet?

Dafuture, I am all ready here. I started drinking yesterday. Bars may be empty by the time you get here. Dallas media gets active when Hogs (they call us root hogs) come to town. Bevo league folks are hurting because of OSU, Kansas State & Baylor slight. I don't think they were slighted, just misinformed in false belief / perception that Bevo League is the best conference top to bottom. Even so, they see the #6 Hogs coming to Dallas as some vindication for the namesake vintage Cotton Bowl. I tend to agree, but hogs need to take care of business. No defense bickering until after the game :-) I have plenty of extra special Razorback 3-D Rose Colored glasses; and about 862 gallons of Razorback Kool Aid. All of which is dated that expires 1/7/2012. Then of course all is fair game for next season :-)
