Nice column, Wally. In addition to the endless negativity of a few so-called "fans", message boards can be out of control.

Right you are; you can always foresee the relentless beatdowns of negativism masked behind the comments of "I am a die hard loyal Razorback fan," or "I am not just a homer with the rose color glasses on".

With respect to Razorback Football, you either fully support CBP 100% or you don't? No one says everyone has to be 100% behind CBP. If you are not; quit pretending, just say so; and quit beating up those that do (as if we are ignorant of football). Along that same line your venom or frustrations should be directed to CBP himself, not his staff, new coaches, recruits or players. CBP is the man responsible and accountable; he is making the decisions & all of the big bucks. You have right to disagree with his decisions, but you have to respect his right to make those decisions, at least until you are willing to be saying that CBP must go? You can't have it both ways, he can't do what every fans thinks or wants. Thank goodness!!!!

Wow, that's pretty bad when Wally Hall starts calling someone stupid. Because Wally NEVER does anything DUMB. Like devote a whole column about some random post on a message board. Not sure how this is newsworthy. Unless a DUMB and LAZY reporter can't come up with something better to write about.

Whatever...I'm not sure much of the column or the trailing comments make a lot of sense. I just wonder if Haynes can teach tackling between now and Jan 6th. Until I see evidence of that on the field, and our running game improves, I'm about 83% behind CBP.

Texback,

83% is pretty good. U R pure near homer :-) Did you listen to Coach Haynes comments about tackling? He is essentially acknowledging that you do miss tackles but you have to have swarming defense to stop them cold to avoid the big plays. I think if he can get the DB's to play physical and tight coverage; they can be more creative up front with LB's etc. Bobby knows something, that we all know, Bobby trust this man to step in where Willy left off. I watched Paul Haynes fend for himself today. I am good, ready for Kansas State. I am 117% behind CBP; so we are all even :-)

59 & texback, you need to look at your on short coming and not others. I am 100% razorback, meaning 100%. CBP has a good head how about you?

TexBack says...

I'm actually 100% HogAuthority. I've never had more confidence in the program and my Razorback consciousness goes back at least 50 years. And cstex, believe me, I've got plenty of short comings. But I don't claim to be a coach and get paid $3mm a year. But I DO pay a hell of a lot for tickets. I'm a native Arkansan that's invested a lifetime in the program, lived and died with the program, suffer for days after a loss. But we now have a program that has gotten so big, and the money is so big, that all personal touch is gone. There is now way to voice concern. You might as well be talking to a call center in India if you have any questions about tickets, contributions, etc. The boys in Fayetteville simply look at us as ATM machines now. They simply don't need us average fans any longer, except for our money. So I'll buy my tickets and with it the license to bitch. I'll always cling to memories of a program that had a soul. But I'll never tow the party line for what we've become. Go Bobby, Go Paul and Paul, Go Hogs!
