Bowl games don't have to go away. They could just be relegated to the NIT of college football. There should be a 16 team playoff, the same as in every other college football classification. That way, we would have 15 meaningful games in the post season instead of one, the BCS championship game. Can you imagine how much more interest there would be in the Cotton Bowl if the Arkansas-K-State winner advanced to the quarterfinals of the college football playoffs? It would be fantastic. Tonight, TCU is playing LA-Tech in some game I don't even know the name of. Is everyone going to be huddled around the TV to watch that one? Me neither.
