— No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks eked another victory Saturday with a late comeback against the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville, Tenn., coming ahead 31-28 in the fourth quarter.

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Razorbacks (7-1, 3-1 SEC) recovered earlier than in previous games. Scoring two touchdowns in the first half, Arkansas only trailed Vanderbilt (4-4, 1-4) by 7 points going into the third quarter. Early in the fourth quarter, the Razorbacks brought the score to a tie for the second time in the game.

Zack Hocker's second field goal for 42 yards brought Arkansas ahead three points in the fourth quarter, and the defense held Vanderbilt long enough to keep the Razorbacks in the lead.

Overall, Vanderbilt doubled their rushing attempts compared to Arkansas, while Razorback Tyler Wilson nearly doubled Commodore Jordan Rodgers' passing attempts. Wilson was 27 of 43 for passing with 316 yards total. Vanderbilt pulled ahead of Arkansas in total yardage 462-387.

Vanderbilt came in leading the SEC and tied for first nationally with 15 interceptions. Cornerback Casey Hayward broke up six passes but dropped one he might have returned for a touchdown in the first half. The Commodores also sacked Wilson three times and hit him enough they had him limping before halftime.

Arkansas plays South Carolina at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville next week. They will play their final conference game Nov. 25 against Louisiana State in Baton Rouge, La.
