Morgan visits Arkansas on Monday

Greenwood athlete Drew Morgan earned his second consecutive MVP award in a state title game on Saturday and impressed Tim Horton, Arkansas recruiting coordinator and running backs coach, enough to receive a scholarship offer on Monday morning.

— Greenwood athlete Drew Morgan, who was named the MVP of the Class 6A title game, is visiting Arkansas today.

Morgan, 6-0, 180, 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash, rushed 9 times for 83 yards, 2 TDs and had 4 receptions for 87 yards and 1 TD. He also had 9 tackles and an interception against Pine Bluff.

Orally committed to Arkansas State, Morgan had 82 rushes for 765 yards, 19 touchdowns and 83 receptions for 1,122 yards and 14 TDs for the season while finishing up with 72 tackles.
