Henry receives quick call from Bielema

Pulaski Academy's Hunter Henry catches a pass in the endzone over Allen, Texas defender Kimani Smith during the 7-on-7 Shootout of the South championship game in Little Rock on Saturday. Pulaski Academy won 49-35.

It didn't take long for Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema to get in touch with Pulaski Academy tight end Hunter Henry after Wednesday's press conference to introduce himself to the Razorback fans.

Bielema called Henry not long after the completion of the press conference and told him he wanted to build a relationship with him and for him to be a Hog.

"I'm impressed," said Henry, who plans to make his official visit to Arkansas in January. "I've already talked to him and he's a very personable guy and he's really kind of straight up from what I know and seems like a very good man which I like to look at and also a great coach with a great past ."

Henry, 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, 4.8 seconds in the 40-yard dash, is rated the No. 52 prospect in the nation by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network. Like most Arkansans, he's just getting to know Bielema and also learning how to pronounce his name.

"I call him coach B right now as I continue to learn his name." Henry said.

Henry , who recorded 64 receptions for 1,091 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior, had an even better senior season with 107 receptions for 1,449 yards and 15 touchdowns. He said he felt satisfied after researching Bielema's record on using tight ends and hearing how many he had sent to the NFL.
