Sunday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas commitment and safety Khari Harding of Edmond, (Okla.) Santa Fe said on twitter that he received a scholarship offer from Auburn.

Tennessee commitment and OL Brett Kendrick, 6-6, 295, 5.2 of Knoxville, Tenn. said his mother thought so highly of offensive line coach Sam Pittman that she cried when she heard he was leaving Tennessee. He said father alsp thought highly of Pittman. As reported on Saturday, Kendrick has been offered by Arkansas after Pittman was hired. He said he'll know in a few days if he'll officially visit the Hogs.

Kendrick's teammate and WR Josh Smith, 6-2, 190, 4.47 said Arkansas OC and QB coach Jim Chaney is one of the main reasons why he committed to Tennessee. He's considering an official visit to Arkansas but said he remains firm to the Vols.

2014 Wisconsin commitment and DE Conor Sheehy of Milwaukee, Wis. said the hiring of Charlie Partridge has him somewhat intewrested in Arkansas. He said he really likes Partridge.

UCLA commitment and Missouri City, Texas DE-LB Deon Hollins, who plans to make an official visit to Arkansas Jan. 18-20, was recently named the Touchdown Club of Houston Defensive Player of the Year.

Alabama commitment and RB Altee Tenpenny of North Little Rock said he doesn't know a lot about Arkansas OC-QB coach Jim Chaney but knows his offense was one of the top units in the nation. He said Chaney and Coach Bret Bielema make a good combonation. He has set Jan. 11 for his official vist for Alabama. He'll visit Arkansas Jan. 18.

He said he talk with Bielema recently went well and he liked how he came across as a person. He said Bielema did some research when he told Tenpenny about his upcoming birthday on Dec. 20. he said Bielema sounded like a real cool and down-to-earth guy.
