Defensive tackle Monty Nelson, 6-3, 310, 5.2 of Plantation, Fla. said he plans to make an official visit to Arkansas in January.

As reported in Monday recruiting tidbits, Nelson received an offer from Arkansas. He said he spoke with Partridge that day and was told he had an offer. Partridge recruited Nelson while at Wisconsin and the two built a solid relationship. He calls Partridge a great guy.

He said he has set an official visit to Indiana and is also looking to visit Louisville, Pitt and Ole Miss.

He reports bench pressing about 385 pounds and about 495 in the squat.
