Skinner reassured about the Hogs

A conversation with Arkansas offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Jim Chaney on Wednesday reassured Razorback commitment and tight end Deondre Skinner the Hogs wanted him.

Skinner, 6-4, 225, 4.59 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Patterson, Louisiana said he had previously missed a call from Razorback Coach Bret Bielema because of having phone issues.

"I've been there four times and I feel like I'm at home," Skinner said. "Because the fans and everyone knew me and I meet a lot of people every time I was there. I've had a really, really great time. I think I have a really great future at Arkansas and that's really where I want to spend the rest of my years over there."

He said he's looking forward to setting a date for his official visit with Chaney.

"I'm suppose call him in a little bit and ask him about that." said Skinner, who's rated a 4-star recruit by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network.

Skinner, who recorded 33 receptions for 518 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, plans to make official visits to Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Houston and Arizona State.

"I'm still taking my visits to go just enjoy myself and just enjoying the recruiting," Skinner said. "But other than that that's it."
