Dorial Green-Beckham, the consensus No. 1 rated football recruit in the country, signed a national letter of intent to play at Missouri on Wednesday at his high school in Springfield, Mo.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound wide receiver had several scholarship offers, including one from Arkansas. A Tulsa World report earlier this week stated Green-Beckham would choose his homestate school, citing a source.
Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama were reportedly also high on his list of potential schools.
Green-Beckham caught 119 passes for 2,233 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior at Hillcrest High School.
Wednesday was the first day senior football players could sign letters of intent. The Razorbacks are expected to sign 25 players before the end of the day.

Well, the bad news is that he didn't sign with the Hogs. The good news is that he didn't sign with OU, Texas or Alabama. Also, I dare say that Mizzou's move to the SEC probably had a lot to do with him staying in state.

The mere fact that storied programs like Alabama and Oklahoma made no serious moves on him in the last couple of weeks says a lot. You can't build a program around a prima donna. And just because he was outstanding in high school is NO guarantee of success in the college ranks or the pros.
Look what happened to Mitch Mustain a few years ago. He too was the highest rated Parade All-American. After his freshman year at Arkansas, he transferred to Southern Cal, only to take a few snaps in his senior year. So much for national exposure.
No doubt about it, DGB made a decision he felt best for himself. Goodness knows I'll have to put up with the holier-than-thou crap from local St. Louis sportscasters tonight, boasting how Missou won over Arkansas.
The fact of the matter is that Missou thought they had it made with Blaine Gabbert a few years ago. Two seasons later and Blaine jumps to the NFL. DGB will do the same thing.

From what I understand from sources he was never really leaving Missouri bc all the people around him were big Missouri supporters & Alumni, including his high school coach!!!!
which makes you wonder if he was putting everyone on the hole time and just getting the royal treatment everywhere!!
Anyway if we play them in a year that would just be awful if we knocked him out for a game or 2 for screwing us over!!
Although if we had him we would have been fun!
