Griswold enjoys Arkansas visit

— Arkansas hosted approximately 50 recruits for the Ole Miss game in Little Rock on Oct. 27 and one of the better looking athletes attending was junior defensive end Ryan Griswold.

Griswold, 6-5, 230 pounds, of Pearland, Texas, has been receiving interest from Arkansas and Boise State but should see more schools showing interest in the future.

“It was really cool,” said Griswold of the Hogs’ game experience. “All of the fans were getting into it. It was amazing. ”

Seeing the Razorbacks go through pregame warm-ups was the highlight of the trip.

“It was real cool to know how everything is done before games,” Griswold said.

One of the topics Arkansas coaches focus on while recruiting is how the Hogs are the only show in town and enjoy state wide support. Griswold saw that on his visit.

“The atmosphere, they don’t have a pro team,” Griswold said. “So I knew coming everybody were going to be cool and everybody loves it there.”

Griswold, who has a 3.3 GPA and plans to follow his father’s career path and major in engineering, enjoys playing defensive end the contact that comes with it.

“I get leverage real good and I can get off the block really fast,” Griswold said. “They usually run it opposite of me most of the time because I get off blocks and make tackles easily on my side
