UA commit Beanum scores 30 on ACT

— Arkansas commitment Tevin Beanum of Forrest City learned that he scored a 30 on his ACT Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end said his mother had agreed to buy him a car if he achieved his goal of making a 30.

Beanum, who runs a 4.72-second 40-yard dash, finished the season with 76 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 2 recovered fumbles and 1 forced fumble. He plans to make his official visit to Arkansas during the Jan. 18-20 weekend.

He plans to major in engineering in college. He had previously scored a 27 on the ACT.
