JUCO Arkansas commit still plans on taking visits

— Because of the uncertain future of the Arkansas coaching staff, Hog commitment and junior college linebacker Myke Tavarres is planning to make some official visits to other schools.

"I think the first visit I really have is [Texas] A&M," Tavarres said. "We're still in the process of figuring out a date. I know I'm going to take another trip to Arizona to check them out a little bit. That's about as far as I've gotten."

Tavarres, 6-2 1/2, 215 pounds, 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash. of College of the Siskiyous made an official visit to Fayetteville in July and shortly afterward orally committed to the Hogs. He's thinking of the Razorback program is still the same.

"Nothing has really changed about how I feel about Arkansas," Tavarres said. "I still love Arkansas, I love the fans, love the coach, love the team, love the staff. I love everything about it. It's just one of those moments where I don't really know what I'm going to do."

Tavarres, who said he's been in contact with linebackers coach Taver Johnson, spoke on how he could remain a Hog.

"If the staff is still there or at least if my position coach is still there," Tavarres said. "I'll be more than fine in still going to Arkansas. "
