Hamilton left off final Biletnikoff ballot

Cobi Hamilton has set single-season school records for receptions and receiving yards in 2012.

— Arkansas receiver Cobi Hamilton didn't make the final cut for the Biletnikoff Award.

After being selected as one of 10 semifinalists for the award honoring college football's best receiver, Hamilton was left off the list of three finalists released Monday. Either West Virginia's Stedman Bailey, Baylor's Terrance Williams or Southern Cal's Marquise Lee will take home the award next month.

With one game remaining, Hamilton has set single-season school records for receptions (80) and receiving yards (1,237) for Arkansas, and needs four catches against LSU on Friday to set the Razorbacks' career record for receptions. Against Rutgers, he set school and Southeastern Conference records with 303 receiving yards.

He had three receiving touchdowns in the game against the Scarlet Knights, but only one in the seven games since, which likely hurt him with Biletnikoff voters.

Hamilton has five touchdown catches this season, as opposed to 20 for Bailey, 14 for Lee and 11 for Williams.
