Lemming names Henry nation's top TE

Special the the Arkansas Democrat Gazette/MATT JOHNSON - 11-01-2012- Pulaski Academy tight end, and Arkansas commit, Hunter Henry turns upfield during first-half action against Jacksonville on November 1, 2012.

CBS Sports Network national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming has named Hunter Henry of Pulaski Academy the No. 1 tight end in the nation. He will be named to Lemming's All American team on his weekly show, the Lemming Report on Nov. 30.

"He's had a great year," Lemming said. "He deserved it."

Henry, 6-5, 235, 4.8 seconds in the 40 yard dash, orally committed to Arkansas in July but recently made an official visit to Alabama and has plans to officially visit Georgia and Arkansas with others being considered.

He recorded 64 receptions for 1,091 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior but has come back stronger than ever as a senior with 101 receptions for 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns going into Friday's game against Batesville.

Lemming said the nation has several great tight ends like Adam Breneman of Pennsylvania, DeSean Smith of Louisiana and others.

"But Hunter's the best," Lemming said. "He had a great junior year and so far is having a great senior year. I've seen him on film last year and this year."

He likens Henry to England Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski, who played his college football at Arizona.

"I saw Rob play his junior year in Buffalo, New York and play in Pennsylvania his senior year," Lemming said. "Similar size, athletic ability and production."
