Sunday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas' coaches will be on the road this week to visit the schools of Hog commitments and other prospects while also doing in-home visits too.

Today, the contact period starts and runs until Feb. 2 with a few exceptions, Dec. 16, Jan. 6 and Feb. 3 (quiet period), Dec. 17- Jan. 3, Jan. 9-Jan. 13 and Feb. 4-7 (dead period).

Asst. coach Bobby Allen will be at Fayetteville to see Arkansas commitments, Austin Allen, Brooks Ellis and Alex Brignoni and the Bulldogs prepare for Saturday's Class 7A state title game vs. Bentonville.

Allen will visit Butler C.C. in Kansas on Tuesday to see Razorback commitment and OL Johnathan McClure.

Hog commitment and TE Hunter Henry of Pulaski Academy said asst. coach Tim Horton will visit his school or home this week.

Horton will attend the Class 5A, 6A and 7A state title games at War Memorial stadium in Little Rock this weekend.

Arkansas commitment and LB Marcus Robinson of Memphis East said Horton will also visit his school or home this week.

Hog commitment and QB Tyler Cogswell of Plantation, Fla. said asst. coach Taver Johnson will visit his school this week.

Razorback commitment and WR Lamar Jordan of Frisco, Tx. said Arkansas will be by his school this week.

RB Kaleb Blanchard, an Arkansas commitment said he will make his official visit in Jan.

2014 El Dorado DL Bijhon Jackson will participate in the U.S. Army All American combine in Jan. while 2014 DL Josh Frazier will attend the Under Armour combine.

QB Austin Allen hit 19 of 37 passes for 273 yards, 2 TDs while throwing one interception in Fayetteville's 30-28 win over North Little Rock on Friday.

2014 WR-DB Jordan Dennis had 9 receptions for 113 yards and 1 TD. He also had an interception in Fayetteville's win.
