Like most Arkansas fans, linebacker Myke Tavarres, who's committed to the Razorbacks, wasn't shocked when John L. Smith wasn't retained as Arkansas' head coach.
"Everyone saw it coming," Tavarres said. "The season didn't definitely didn't turnout the way everyone wanted."
Tavarres, 6-2 1/2, 215, 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of College of the Siskiyous is planning to make an official visit to Arizona while also considering one to Boise State.
With the Arkansas' coaching situation up in the air, Tavarres isn't sure about his future plans.
"I have a few visits to take," said Tavarres, who had 85 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 5 pass breakups this season. "It depends on how those visits go and if I enjoy myself at those schools and like the coaches there's a possibility I could go to those schools. If I don't like the schools and don't feel the vibe that felt when I was at Arkansas and I'll end up going to Arkansas."
Tavarres said he will rely on his parents, who have concerns about the uncertainty in Fayetteville.
"I still want to see how things turnout," Tavarres said. "There's a few weeks before we should have a new head coach and we'll know if there's new staff or not If the staff does change, it really depends on who they bring in."
