Thursday night recruiting tidbits

Ryan Timmons from Frankfurt, Ky., who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds, ran a kickoff back for a touchdown as time expired, helping Franklin County defeat Anderson County on Oct. 12.

Wide receiver Austin Bennett of Manvel, Texas plans to make an official visit to Arkansas in Jan., said his father, Greg Bennett.

Bennett, an Oklahoma commit, was committed to Arkansas but reopened his recruiting after Bobby Petrino was let go as coach. His teammate, cornerback Tavares Garner, who's committed to Texas A&M, will also make an official visit to Arkansas. Offensive line coach Chris Klenakis visited the school this week.

Wide receiver Ryan Timmons of Frankfort, Ky. said Arkansas receivers coach Kris Cinkovich visited his school this week. He said offensive coordinator Paul Petrino will be calling him next week. He has an official visit to Illinois for this weekend.

Arkansas recruiting coordinator and running back coach Tim Horton visited Pulaski Academy tight end and UA commit Hunter Henry on Wednesday.

Hog commitment /wide receiver Jervenski Johnson of Amite, La. said defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell visited his school on Wednesday. He plans to make his official visit on Jan 18-20.

Arkansas commit/wide receiver Lamar Jordan of Frisco, Texas said secondary coach Bobby Allen visited his school today.

Razorback commit/quarterback Tyler Cogswell of Plantation, Fla. said Hogs linebackers coach Taver Johnson visited his school today.

Arkansas commit/ Carroll Washington of Hartnell College said Cinkovich visited his school on Wednesday.

Defensive end Jamone Boyd and linebacker Nick Ramirez of Lee's Summit (West), Mo. will make official visits to Arkansas during the Jan. 18-20 weekend. Horton visited the school on Tuesday.

Horton also visited Kansas City Rockhurst to check on Nebraska commitment and offensive lineman Zach Hannon.
