April Fools' or a commitment?

Tight end Jack Kraus of Bentonville was Arkansas' fourth commitment for the 2014 class.

When Bentonville tight end Jack Kraus called Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. Monday evening to commit to the Hogs, Lunney had to ask the obvious question on April Fools' day.

"He was thrilled," Kraus said. "He couldn't believe it. He actually thought I was playing an April Fool's joke on him. It was pretty funny."

Kraus, 6-5, 240, 4.9 seconds in the 40 yard dash, chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Illinois and Utah State while drawing interest from Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, LSU and Memphis.

He cited his relationship with Lunney, who was the Tigers' offensive coordinator before joining Coach Bret Bielema's staff along with the SEC and new facilities.
