Friday recruiting tidbits

Offensive lineman Denver Kirkland signed with Arkansas over Florida State and Miami. He said Arkansas linebackers coach Randy Shannon was key in his recruitment.

Arkansas offensive line signee Denver Kirkland of Miami Washington will report to Fayetteville June 28.

Sophomore athlete Avery Johnson of Highland placed 6th among 270 athletes at the Memphis Nike Camp with a 107.04 SPARQ on Sunday. He had a laser time of 4.66 seconds in the 40 yard dash and a 4.41 time in the pro-shuttle. he toss the power ball 42 feet and had a 32-inch vertical.

Little Rock Central running back Logan Moragne finished 5th at the same Nike Camp with a SPARQ rating of 110.10. He recorded a 4.69 40 time, 4.01 pro-shuttle, 35-3-inch vertical and a 37 foot power ball.

Arkansas running back signee Alex Collins helped South Plantation High School win the district 4 X 100 relay title with a time of 42.3 seconds. Running the third leg, Collins overcame a sizable deficit after receiving the baton.

Razorback tight end signee Hunter Henry of Pulaski Academy will attend Arkansas' spring game on Saturday.
