Defensive linemen Josh Frazier and Bijhon Jackson are two prospects Arkansas fans hope are teammates in Fayetteville next year.
The two highly regarded linemen have become friends during the recruiting process and were able to mix and mingle again on Saturday while attending Arkansas' Red-White spring game.
Frazier, 6-4, 334, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Springdale Har-Ber has accumulated nine scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Alabama, Southern Cal, Texas A&M and Florida State. He enjoyed seeing Jackson and other in-state recruits.
"It was good to get down there and see some of my friends," Frazier said. "I've been building a relationship with Kavin Alexander, Juan Day and Bijhon I met Solomon Thomas that guys from Texas He's a pretty cool guy. Actually he didn't really say much I didn't talk to him that much but seems like a really well rounded guy and has his head on straight."
The Hogs fans kept Frazier busy by requesting about 20 autographs.
"We got a lot of love from the Arkansas fans." he said.
Frazier plans to announce his top five or six schools on May 23. His mother, Donna has given her thoughts.
"My mom still likes Arkansas," Frazier said. "She likes Texas A&M too. Really likes both of those schools and wants to see me primarily go to either one of those schools. But it doesn't matter where I go but that would be her choices if she were to choose for me. But it's primarily my decision and she understands that. "
Jackson, 6-2, 325, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of El Dorado has been committed to Arkansas since December but has been tempted by a recent scholarship offer from Alabama. He talked of going to Tuscaloosa for a summer camp but indicated that probably won't happen after visiting the Hogs on Saturday.
"I got see how the fans were and it was crazy, it was spring game" said Jackson of the estimated 51,088 fans in attendance. " I'm still in love with the coaches there. I was able to talk to some of my future teammates who are in the class of 2013 that's going to be there in a few weeks and some in the class of 2014 that will probably end up going."
The large crowd made things difficult prior to kickoff.
"We got there an hour and half before the game and we couldn't find a place to park." Jackson said.
Jackson was startled when fans recognize him while eating dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to El Dorado in the afternoon.
"It's crazy because I'm five hours away from home." he said.
When asked about an update on Frazier, Jackson seemed confident of Arkansas' chances.
"He's still the same," Jackson said. "He said he hasn't narrowed it down to any specific schools yet but I have a good feeling on him."
