Junction City’s Bell commits to Arkansas

Junior tight end/defensive end JaMario Bell of Junction City orally committed to Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema on Saturday.

Bell, 6-6, 230 pounds, 4.7 seconds in the 40-yard dash, also is drawing interest from Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida State and others. He arrived in Fayetteville on Friday and watched practice.

“I chose to be a Razorback because I came up here today and I already thought I wanted to commit to them,” Bell said. “But when I gotup here I just fell in love with the atmosphere. This is my home, and this is where I want to be.”

Bell recorded 81 tackles, including 12 for loss, and 5 sacks last season and had 15 receptions for 249 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Super Sophomore team. Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. was his lead recruiter.

Bell is the Hogs’ fourth commitment for 2015.
