Arkansas hosting Kentucky on ESPN

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson said Rashad "Ky" Madden (00) may have the opportunity for a breakout season.

— Arkansas' basketball game against Kentucky next season will be featured on ESPN's "Super Tuesday" program, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.

The game, scheduled for Jan. 14, 2014, will tip-off at 8 p.m. It is the only of the Razorbacks' games scheduled for the primetime telecast.

Arkansas beat Kentucky 73-60 last season at Bud Walton Arena, but will play the Wildcats at home for the second consecutive season by virtue of an expanded 18-game conference schedule adopted prior to last year. It is likely the two teams will also play next season at Rupp Arena, where Arkansas hasn't won since 1994.

The Razorbacks' and SEC's full schedule hasn't been released. Other known games for the Hogs include California at the three-day Maui Invitational and home dates against Louisiana and High Point.

Arkansas is also expected to begin a home-and-home series against former Southwest Conference foe SMU next season, though there has been no official release about the series. The Mustangs are coached by Basketball Hall of Fame member Larry Brown.
