Former Arkansas running back Felix Jones is on the move for the second time this year.
Multiple reports Friday indicated that Jones, who spent his first five NFL seasons as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, was being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jones had been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason, but was not expected to make the team as the fourth-string running back, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Jones has 2,782 yards rushing in his NFL career while mostly playing in a complimentary role. When he was drafted by the Cowboys in the first round in 2008, he was the backup to Marion Barber. In 2011, Barber was released, but Jones did not last long as the primary back. After suffering an injury early in the season, DeMarco Murray became the starting running back and has not let go of that role.
