Sunday recruiting tidbits

Juan Day

As of now, Arkansas will likely host about eight prospects for official visits for the Dec. 6-8 weekend.

Following recruits have been confirmed.

WR Torrance Mosley of Geismar (La.) Dutchtown said he and his teammate and fellow WR Corey McBride will be visiting.

RB Juan Day of North Little Rock said he will also make his visit next weekend. He said tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. will visit his school and home on Monday.

Other tidbits:

Linebacker Edward Muldrow of Copiah-Lincoln C.C. said Arkansas wants him to visit Dec. 13. He said he's considering it, but said he's pretty firm on his commitment to West Virginia.

DB Santos Ramirez of Shreveport Evangel will make his visit on the Dec. 13-15 so his mother can accompany him.

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema made an in-home visit with QB Rafe Peavey of Bolivar, Mo. today.

As reported on Wednesday, LB coach Randy Shannon is expected to make an in-home visit with defensive back Cornelius Floyd of Miami Gulliver today. Safety Shawn Boone of Palm Beach Gardens, (Fla.) Dwyer said Coach Bret Bielema will visit his school and home on Monday.

Defensive end commit Jake Hall of Springdale Har-Ber said tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. will make an in-home visit today.

Offensive lineman Jovan Pruitt of Dallas Bishop Dunne said running backs coach Joel Thomas will make an in-home visit today.

9:05 p.m. update

Bielema, offensive lineman Sam Pittman and offensive coordinator Jim Chaney visited with Rafe Peavey and his parents for about four and half hours.

Pittman is expected to visit OL Brian Wallace Jr. on Monday.

OL Andrew Mike of Tucson, (Ariz.) Sabino said Pittman and Bielema will make an in-home visit on Wednesday. He has numerous offers.

Arkansas has backed off of OL Chukwuma Okorafor of Southfield, Mich.

LB Jimmie Swain IV of Olathe, (Kan.) North said defensive coordinator Chris Ash will do an in-home visit on Thursday. Video highlights CLICK HERE

OL Sebastion Tretola, 6-5, 310 of Iowa Western C.C. is expected to make an official visit to Arkansas on Dec. 13. He signed with Nevada out of high school Video highlights CLICK HERE

WR Frank Iheanacho, 6-7, 220 of Houston Westside said running backs coach Joel Thomas will visit him on Tuesday. He's one of the top uncommitted receivers in the country. Video highlights CLICK HERE

S Payton Hendrix of Dallas Bishop Dunne also received an in-home visit from Thomas tonight.

CB Chris Murphy of Marietta, (Ga.) Lassiter said conerbacks coach Taver Johnson and Bielema will visit him on Tuesday.

K Cole Hedlund of Argyle, Texas said defensive line coach and special teams coordinator Charlie Partridge will visit him on Wednesday.
