Wednesday recruiting tidbits

DE Rashawn Shawn is one of the more heavily recruited prospects in Florida.

Receiver Frank Iheanacho, 6-7, 220 of Houston Westside said Arkansas' running backs coach Joel Thomas attended his basketball game on Tuesday night. He said the visit went well.

He announced his top schools in no particular order Oregon, Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole MIss, Missouri, TCU and Florida State on Monday.

Defensive end Rashawn Shaw, 6-3, 230 of Fort Pierce, (Fla.) Central said defensive line coach Charlie Partridge visited his school on Monday and plans to return next week to do an in-home visit with Coach Bret Bielema. He said the Hogs are working on a date to get him up for an official visit in January.

Shaw, who has about 30 scholarship offers, is a Louisville commitment. He and teammate and linebacker Sharieff Rhaheed visited Arkansas in July.

Defensive end Kevin Bronson, 6-3, 245, 4.77 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Delray Beach, (Fla.) Village Academy said Partridge called him today and told him the Hogs would set up an in-home visit soon and an official visit in January. He has approximately 26 scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Rutgers, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, South Florida and Central Florida.

Junior running back Chris Warren, 6-2, 227, 4.4 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Rockwall, Texas said his ACL rehab is going well. He considered to be one of the top junior prospects in the nation after rushing 174 times for 1,059 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Parkers Chapel offensive lineman Will Jones met with Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. on Tuesday was extended an invitation to be a preferred walk-on.

Jones, 6-4, 320 pounds, 5.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, is very excited about the opportunity. He plans to sit down with his family and discuss his options. He has an offer from Henderson State and has several other schools interested.

Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow, 6-6, 291, 5.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash of Victoria, Minnesota, Chanhassen said on offensive line coach Sam Pittman made an in-home visit on Tuesday evening and kept him entertained with his one liners.

Junior running back Darrin Hall Jr. of Youngstown, (Ohio) Austintown Fitch said he's been talking to running backs coach Joel Thomas. He said the Razorbacks are one of 13 scholarship offers. The Hogs offered about six months ago. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Linebacker Kenny Young of River Ridge, (La.) Curtis is looking to possibly visit Arkansas but no date has been set. He's rated a 4-star prospect by Tom Lemming.

Defensive end Demetrius Jackson of Miami Washington said he will make his official visit to Arkansas on Jan. 17 instead of Dec. 13.
