Thursday recruiting tidbits

Charleston quarterback Ty Storey has taken the 12-0 Tigers to the Class 3A quarterfinals, passing for 3,004 yards this season.

As reported on Twitter on Wednesday, Hog commitments Torrance Mosley, Corey McBride, Jared Cornelius and Juan Day have rescheduled their official visits for next weekend due to weather concerns.

Hog defensive line commitment Armon Watts and his teammate/offensive lineman Brian Wallace of St. Louis Christian Brothers will arrive on Friday for visits.

Safety C.J. Hampton of Meridian, Miss. will arrive today at 10:50 a.m. Another prospect who's committed elsewhere will arrive on Friday for his official visit.

As of now, the Hogs will host 20 prospects for the Dec. 13-15 weekend.

Arkansas quarterback commitment Rafe Peavey was voted unanimous 1st team All SWMO last night and offensive player of the year for class 4.

Arkansas 2015 quarterback commitment Ty Storey of Charleston has been named the 2013-14 Gatorade Arkansas Football Player of the Year.

Arkansas defensive coordinator Chris Ash did an in-home visit with linebacker Jimmie Swain, 6-3, 228, 4.46 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Olathe, (Kan.) North this morning.

Arkansas linebacker commitment Khalia Hackett, 6-2, 208, 4.63 of Douglasville, (Ga.) South Paulding said cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson did an in-home visit with him Wednesday afternoon.

Arkansas is expected to visit a junior college today to evaluate a prospect who might be on the verge of an offer.

Arkansas defensive line coach Charlie Partridge made an in-home visit with Hog kicker commitment Cole Hedlund, 5-10, 170, of Argyle, Texas Wednesday night.
