Swanson, Thomas get combine invites

Arkansas center Travis Swanson (64) calls out a play during a Nov. 29, 2013 game against LSU at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

— Arkansas center Travis Swanson and defensive tackle Robert Thomas received invitations to the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.

The combine will be held Feb. 18-25 in Indianapolis. Swanson and Thomas were seniors in 2013 for the Razorbacks.

Swanson started 50 consecutive games during his Arkansas career and was a finalist this season for the Rimington Trophy, which is given to college football's most outstanding center. Thomas played three seasons for Arkansas after transferring from junior college, but missed the final four games of his senior season after suffering a broken leg in a game against Alabama.

Thomas recorded 3.5 sacks and six tackles for loss as a senior. It's unclear how much he will be able to do at the combine after undergoing surgery to repair his leg injury in October.

Swanson is scheduled to participate in the Senior Bowl alongside Arkansas defensive end Chris Smith prior to the combine.
