Moore, Cappelen top 5 after Patriot first round

— Arkansas sophomore Taylor Moore is tied for third and senior Sebastian Cappelen is tied for fifth after the first day of the Patriot All-America Tournament at The Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz. on Sunday.

Moore shot a two-under 68 and Cappelen a one-under 69 in the first round. Cappelen is the defending champion of the event.

Cappelen played the first six holes one-over par, but sunk three birdies over his last 12 holes. Cappelen birdied the par 4 18th for the third time in four rounds at the course.

Moore had three birdies on the front nine and birdied the par 4 17th Sunday. He bogeyed the par 4 8th and 13th holes.

Florida Southern's Tim Crouch leads the field of 84 heading into Monday's second round. Crouch shot a four-under 66 Sunday.
