Monday recruiting tidbits

A source said offensive lineman Dwayne Johnson of Bellaire, Texas will announce his decision on Tuesday. He will choose from Arkansas and Nebraska.

Junior defensive lineman Bijhon Jackson, an Arkansas commitment from El Dorado, and junior defensive lineman Josh Frazier of Springdale Har-Ber visited Arkansas for about an hour on Saturday. Both participated in the state indoor track meet at the U of A. Jackson said defensive line coach Charlie Partridge took him and Frazier on a tour of the football complex under construction. He said being able to spend time with Partridge and talking to Coach Bret Bielema for a few minutes reassured his decision to be a Hog.

Jackson said he's recruiting Frazier but doesn't try to overdo it. Both talked about their growing friendship and respect for one another.

Running back Alex Collins of South Plantation, Fla. will announce his decision tonight at 9 p.m. on Fox Sports South. He's expected to pick Arkansas or Miami.

This was tweeted on Saturday but 2014 quarterback Jabe Burgess of Greenwood received an offer from Tulsa. He also has an offer from Illinois.

Offensive lineman Denver Kirkland of Miami Washington will announce his college decision Wednesday between 8 and 9 a.m. central time on ESPNU. He will choose from Arkansas and Florida State.

Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports Kirkland's coach Tim Harris is thinking Miami is back into the mix but notes Kirkland hasn't told him that.

In answering a question on Twitter, Navarro said he gets the vibe Arkansas will land running back Alex Collins.

North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny has tweeted he's 100% Bama. He called Bret Bielema earlier today and told him.

Offensive lineman Austin Boice, 6-7, 300 of Lamar, Missouri tweeted he talked to Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman and he plans to be a Razorback. He will likely be a preferred walk-on. Video highlights click here
