Arkansas has one product from Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge high school in freshman cornerback Ray Buchanan Jr. and the Hogs would like add junior safety Nick Glass from the program too.

Glass, 6-1, 203, 4.45 seconds in the 40 yard dash, and Buchanan teamed up for one of the better secondaries in Georgia and the South in 2011. That friendship and the recruiting efforts of cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson has Glass planning a visit to Fayetteville in April or May.

"I've heard it's one of the prettiest campuses from multiple people," Glass said of Arkansas. "I just want to lay my eyes on it myself."

A Georgia commitment, Glass reports having approximately 40 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio State. He realized early in his high school career he could play at the next level.

"My sophomore year I was playing with a great defensive back group," Glass said. "Everybody went Division I. They told me I had a chance."

Glass, who carries a 2.9 grade point average and had all A's last semester, is considering business management as a major with an eye real estate. He's impressed with what Coach Bret Bielema and his staff did while at Wisconsin.

"They won the last three Big Ten championships," Glass said. "That shows a lot. They don't get much talent from their home state. It's Ohio State or Michigan. For them to do that well and win championships in a state that doesn't produce that many players it said a lot about a coaching staff. They coach their guys up pretty well. "

Arkansas' need at safety is attractive to Glass.

"They have juniors and seniors at safety and both of their safeties are my height," Glass said. "But I'm 15 pounds heavier That really caught my attention... the early playing time."
