Monday recruiting tidbits

Little Rock Central running back Logan Moragne (22) visited Arkansas on Monday.

Running back Logan Moragne, 5-9, 180, 4.61 seconds in the 40 yard dash of Little Rock Central visited Arkansas today. He received a tour of the campus and talked to tight end coach Barry Lunney Jr. and was told he was one of top 25 in-state prospects in the state. Lunney wants him to attend a summer camp.

Running back Joe Mixon, 6-2, 210, 4.5 of Oakley, (Ca.) Freedom said he communicates with Arkansas running back coach Joel Thomas about twice a week. He said Thomas tells it straight and doesn't beat around the bush and he likes that. He's also talked to offensive coordinator Jim Chaney. He wants to take in a game during the season on either an unofficial or official visit.

Mixon has more than 30 offers including the Hogs, who offered him Jan. 27.

Linebacker Clifton Garrett, 6-2 1/2, 228, 4.6 Joliet, (Ill.) Plainfield South has about 13 offers but at this time doesn't have an offer from Arkansas. He said defensive coordinator Chris Ash sent him a message on Facebook on Sunday and told him they were still very interested in him and wants him to get down for a visit.

He received an offer from Wisconsin when Coach Bret Bielema, Ash and defensive line coach Charlie Partridge while they were in Madison. He thinks very highly of Ash and Bielema after attending a Wisconsin camp.

He has family in Wynne and hears positive things about the Hogs.
